Top tip

This baby plant isn't a fan of tap water. Let it sit overnight in your watering can before using and your Calathea will be eternally greateful.

About Lil' Rose Painted Prayer Plant

Just like Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, the Lil' Rose Painted Calathea knows it looks best in pink. This pretty Lil' Prick's pink foliage and green edges make for an eye-catching miniature houseplant. As long as it's happy the Calathea Roseopicta Rosy's cheeks (leaves) will be blushing bright pink with pleasure. To make sure your Lil' Rose Painted Calathea is tickled pink, keep it in bright, indirect light and avoid direct sunlight as this can cause its colour to fade.

To help it maintain a healthy glow it likes temperatures of 18-23°C (min 15°C) and regular water (Evian optional - tap water will do). If it doesn't get enough water your Calathea Roseopicta Rosy can become embarrassed and will curl up and hide. Your Lil' Rose Painted Calathea is flushed enough (probably from all the bending and snapping) without adding extra humidity. So keep it in your living room, hallway, bedroom, office - or courtroom. This Lil' Prick gets along with everyone and is pet friendly - so you can carry your miniature dog AND your miniature plant in your purse!
