Humidity

I'm destined for the desert, so keep my environment dry and mist free to keep me happy.

Light

I can handle a little shade that's thrown my way, but I prefer to be in bright, indirect sunlight.

Watering

I don't need much water. If my soil is dry I'm thirsty and it's time to water me!

About Lil' Birds Nest Snake Plant

The Lil' Birds Nest Snake Plant likes to defy expectations and keep you guessing. After all, birds and snakes aren't really something you picture going together like salt and vinegar or tea and biscuits, they're more chalk and cheese. After all, birds hunt snakes, and some snakes hunt birds. But the Sansevieria Golden Hahnii decided it would mesh the two together, conventions be damned!

Its care can sound equally as contradictory but, don't worry, it's not as confusing as it sounds. Because it's a cacti/succulent from West Africa, unsurprisingly, the Lil' Birds Nest Snake Plant requires no humidity and rarely needs watering. It prefers for you to wait until its soil is completely dry before giving it a drink. However, (here's where the counter-intuitive part comes in) when you do water it, completely drench it and make sure all of the soil is soaked. This Lil' Prick doesn't like to do things by halves!

You'd be forgiven for guessing that this Mother-in-Law Tongue plant probably likes it nice and hot. But (just to keep you guessing) this Lil' Prick actually likes middling temperatures of between 15-23°C and will even surprise you by surviving in temperatures as low as 10°C. The Lil' Bird's Nest Snake Plant doesn't even keep things simple when it comes to sunlight. It likes bright, indirect sunlight, but it's shade tolerant too.
